While Dr Kokayi has studied other systems of medicine and healing he has kept abreast of some of the best therapeutics that allopathic medicine has to offer.  He ran a stem cell center in Manhattan for a period of three years and has had a working relationship with an immunology group out of Oxford University for the last twenty years.

Peptide therapy was employed in Dr Kokayi's NY practice for many years and where consistent with state regulations he will still use this form of therapy. 

Dr Kokayi has used diagnostic tests employed by functional and integrative medical doctors and was involved in doing this work before integrative and functional medicine became  actual disciplines.  Dr Kokayi has assisted clients in finding the appropriate botanical and supplement regimens to accompany whatever mainstream therapy they are employing for more serious chronic diseases like cancer, auto immune diseases,  and neurodegenerative diseases.  Given the track record of pharmaceuticals being made available to the public and having to be taken off the market Dr Kokayi is cautious about recommending the latest allopathic medical "breakthrough".
