ACUPUNCTURE

As an acupuncturist, Dr. Kokayi is a pioneer in this holistic Eastern form of treatment. Dr Kokayi wrote his medical school thesis on acupuncture and physics in 1980. Acupuncture involves the insertion of needles, as most of us know. But, did you know that where the needles are placed, the actual acupuncture “points”, are critical gateways that serves as portal for electromagnetic energy to flow through the body.
Acupuncture therapy is an ancient tradition that utilizes the reality of the life force, Qi, that we all have. This Qi is one of building blocks that Western medicine leaves out when speaking about the body's function. It's as fundamental as water and is the animating energy in the body. Disease, illness and discomfort happen when the Qi is blocked at any of the acupuncture points, and along any of the meridians that connect the acupuncture points.
The advancements made in medical tools and diagnostic equipment has brought acupuncture into mainstream use. The success of the acupuncture therapy, however, is the real reason that acupuncture has grown in popularity, especially in the last two decades.
